Why Choose SkyMesh?
We offer unmetered Netflix content. Netflix content delivered over our Australian peering links will not be counted against your data allowance. Sign up for a free trial at Netflix.
We don’t nickel and dime. There are no setup/connection/activation/establishment fees unless nbn co’s applies its New Developments Charge or Subsequent Installation Charge, no plan change fees, no early termination fees, no credit card surcharges and no equipment delivery fees.
We offer enormous amounts of data. We offer generous amounts of anytime data and enough off peak data to make you blush. We also don’t pretend our plans are unlimited.
We offer Plan matching. We will do our best to match any nbn™ FTTN broadband Plan published by a competing nbn co Access Seeker (excludes ‘unlimited’ Plans).
We don’t lock you in. Some providers will try to lock you into a six or twenty-four month contract. Our term is just 30 days and you can cancel with 30 days’ notice. If we don’t provide you with the best service and support, we don’t deserve to keep you as our customer.
No waiting in phone queues. We give you the freedom of never having to wait in a phone queue. When you call SkyMesh, you can press 7 in the phone menu to request a callback. Alternatively, you can simply text the keywords “CALLBACK SALES” to our SMS number. No other provider offers this level of convenience.
Upgrade your Plan whenever you like. With our customer portal, My SkyMesh, you can upgrade your Plan or buy a Data Block whenever you like. The Data Block will quickly get you out of shaping and you can use the whole Data Block while unshaped. Some providers don’t give you the whole Data Block to use while unshaped.
We have a direct relationship with nbn co. Since we buy directly from nbn co, we have full control over what we can offer to our customers and can contact nbn co directly for any support issues. We don’t have to go through an intermediary like all resellers do.
We are an Australian based team. We have been providing broadband Internet since 2005 and we pride ourselves on our ability to provide personalised customer service quickly and efficiently.
nbn™ Fibre to the Node (FTTN) Plans
Please feel free to enquire about matching a nbn™ FTTN Broadband Plan published by a competing nbn™ Access Seeker (excludes ‘unlimited’ Plans).
nbn co’s once-off New Developments Charge may apply if nbn co classifies your premises as a New Development Location and your premises has never had an active nbn™ service. If nbn co does apply the charge to your premises, a fee of $300 will be appended to your first SkyMesh invoice. Please see the Plan notes below for more information.
Please select your preferred Peak Information Rate
Peak Information Rate & Line Rate
The Peak Information Rate (PIR) you choose is applied by nbn co to your Access Virtual Circuit (AVC). Information Rates are calculated using the method described by nbn co in Section 4.3.1 of its Product Technical Specification (Version 2.7). Your maximum throughput will be lower than this rate and may be affected by:
Where the PIR begins with the phrase ‘Up to’:
The Line Rate defines the actual bit rate at which the physical interface will transfer data. The Line Rate sets the maximum bound on the information-carrying capacity of the link. Please note that the Line Rate may exceed the line rate required to support the PIR.
Line Rates achieved at your premises will depend on:
New Developments Charge
In line with the Australian Government’s Telecommunications Infrastructure in New Developments Policy, nbn co implemented the New Developments Charge on 2 April 2016. A premises identified by nbn co as a New Development Location is subject to nbn co’s once-off New Developments Charge if the premises has never had an active nbn™ service. Despite its name, the New Developments Charge also applies to New Development Locations that were built years ago. It even applies to premises where nbn co has already installed the equipment necessary to connect the premises to the nbn™ network.
Subsequent Installation Charge
nbn co may quote a Subsequent Installation Charge of $297 plus Labour and Materials over and above the free Initial Standard Installation if:
Data Blocks can be purchased at any time to remove speed limiting that is in effect. Data Blocks purchased during a Billing Period expire at the end of that Billing Period.
To connect to the nbn™ Fibre to the Node (FTTN) network, a VDSL2 modem router is required. Please note that most ADSL/ADSL2+ modems are not compatible with VDSL2. The VDSL2 equipment must also be compatible with the UNI-DSL interface specification maintained by nbn co.
When applying, please consider choosing from our selection of recommended hardware. The VDSL2 modem routers below have been registered with nbn co and are compatible with the abovementioned specification.
Hardware from SkyMesh arrives plug-n-play and is expressed delivered to your door. Please note that the hardware is supplied on a self-install basis. We do not provide technical support for Wi-Fi networks.
If nbn co determines that specific VDSL2 equipment or a certain model and/or firmware is causing, or is likely to cause, detriment to other services, nbn co may deregister the equipment, place any services using that equipment into a Repair Profile or suspend any services using that equipment.
