The Business nbn™ Satellite Service (BSS) is designed to lift the digital capacity of businesses in regional and remote Australia. While coverage was initially limited to 93% of mainland Australia via 58 spot beams, as of 29.07.21, that coverage has been extended to 100% mainland Australia and large surrounding islands such as Lord Howe Island, Christmas Island and Norfolk Island.

To coincide with the new geographic availability of the service, nbn is offering FREE equipment and professional standard installations when you order the Business Satellite Service before the 30th of September 2021 on a 12-month contract.

NBN Co chief development officer of regional and remote Gavin Williams said, “At NBN, we recognise that connectivity is vital for businesses to drive innovation, productivity and growth. With this knowledge, we have dedicated ourselves to expand the availability of wholesale business-grade services across the continent.

“Whether to connect remote health facilities, mining operations or large-scale agriculture, these enhancements help make the business NBN satellite service more accessible for eligible businesses and government organisations even in the most remote parts of the continent and we look forward to delivering new capabilities to further improve the service in the future.”

Business Development Manager, Mitch Eyles, of SkyMesh said “NBN’s recent coverage expansion is welcome news for SkyMesh. The increased footprint enables us to provide business-grade satellite connectivity along the eastern seaboard – which accounts for over 50% of our customer base. Coupled with the $0 installation & equipment wholesale promotion, there has never been a better time to review & upgrade your existing connectivity solution.”

How can the Business Satellite Service help my business?
  • Do more with bigger data allowances – when switching to BSS you are able to bypass data limits associated with other nbn satellite services, such as Sky Muster, and can now access plans with vast data limits (up to 1,000GB).

  • Manage business risk – access the right level of support and assurances for your business including callouts and onsite spares
  • Add resilience with a backup internet service to keep mission-critical operations connected when the terrestrial network fails
  • Access a business grade internet service for all of your locations.
