About the Artist
Resides and works in Obum Obum, Queensland.
Studied architecture at the University of California, Berkeley and sculpture at the California College of Arts and Crafts in Oakland, California.
Taught fibre sculpture at Pacific Basin Textile Arts in Berkelely, California and at the Instituto Allende, San Miguel de Allende, Mexico. The first showing of her linen fibre sculptures was at the faculty gallery at the Instituto Allende in 1972. Her second exhibition of three dimentional silk sculptures was at the William Hoey Gallery in Austin, Texas in 1975.
Worked mostly on commissioned works of acrylic on silk and linen until 1998. Since late 1970, the artist has created over 60 works in this medium.
